Alouette Society
For the children of Hoa Mai and the heritage of Vietnam
Our mission
We bring together friends of Vietnam around the world. We raise funds through auctions and traveling exhibitions.
Two pillars
What we support
The children of Hoa Mai
Three orphanages in Vietnam, run by ASSORV.
We do not publish photos, names or details of the children.
The heritage of Vietnam
Art, archives and historic objects. Projects include an art museum in Huế and the digitization of historic scrolls.

Our partners
Whom we plan to support
ASSORV
The Association de Soutien aux Orphelins du Vietnam was founded in France in 1992 by Vu Thien Bich Dao, a Vietnamese physician. It built and runs the Hoa Mai orphanages in Da Nang, Can Tho and Vi Thanh, under Vietnam foreign-NGO permit 106/CNV-HĐ. Children receive a home, care, schooling and vocational training.
Digitizing Vietnam
A digital humanities hub of Fulbright University Vietnam and Columbia University, with seed funding from the Henry Luce Foundation. It offers free collections, including pre-modern Hán-Nôm texts, and tools for research and teaching.
France & Vietnam
A shared affection
France and Vietnam share a long cultural bond, and it runs through our work.
Our name. Alouette means lark in French. Larks sing at dawn while flying upward and have long stood for hope, joy and new beginnings.
Our partner. ASSORV was founded in and operates in France.
Our Honorary Chair. Cecile Le Pham, has deep French-Vietnamese roots and a home in Paris.
Our pieces. Our auctions and exhibitions bring together French and Vietnamese pieces.
